  Notes	The Hobart Democrat-Chief, Oklahoma, Friday, 11 March 1938 Bass Rites to be Conducted Saturday Funeral services for Virgil Lee Bass, 32, son of Mrs. Viola J. Bass, Rocky, who died at 9:55 last night after a long illness, will be conducted from the Church of Christ under the direction of Ministers C.F. Cannon and Vaughn at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon. He will be buried at Rocky under direction of Gish Funeral Home. Bass was born at Rocky, June 20, 1905. He is survived by his mother, the father, J.S. Bass, having died two years ago; and the following brothers and sisters, Clarence, Mrs. Jessie Ashley, and Mrs. Mabel Pendergraft, Blanchard; Mrs. Chloe Mullins, Oklahoma City; Arthur, Rocky; Sidney, Lindsay, and Mrs. Della Gorgas, Stillwater.
