  Notes	Chattanooga News-Free Press, Tennessee, Tuesday, 2 September 1980 James W. Bass James W. Bass, 70, of 4336 Esterbrook Drive, East Ridge, died Monday evening in a local hospital. Mr. Bass held membership with the Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary M. Bass of East Ridge; two sons, Randall E. Bass of East Ridge, and John J. Thomas of Palm Springs, Calif. Five sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Cowden, Mrs. Anna Mae Vines, Mrs. Gladys Redden, Mrs. Dorothy Martin and Mrs. Betty Jones; one brother, Raymond E. Bass of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the East Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Deral Sims officiating. Interment will follow in Black Fox Cemetery near McDonald, Tenn., with Roy martin Jr., Thomas Bass Jr., George W. Bass, Lloyd Frazier, Billy Vines and David Freeman serving as pallbearers. Arrangements are by the East Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home.
