Raymond S. Bassett
Bassett ? Died May 31, 1981. Raymond S. Bassett of 2902 Bethlehem Rd. He is survived by his devotee wife, Mrs. Lavinia C. Bassett; two foster sons, Hayward and Howard Johnson; sister, Mrs. Mary Parker of Williamsburg, Va.; brother, William T. Bassett of Long Island, N.Y.; aunt, Mrs. Ethel Venable; niece, Mrs. Jean Moore; grand-niece and nephew; mother-in-law; three brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; a host of other devoted relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave. until 10 A.M. Wednesday. Then will rest at Moore Street Baptist Church, 1408 W. Leigh St., where funeral rites will be conducted at 2 P.M. with Dr. G.G. Campbell, Pastor, officiating. Interment Roselawn Memory Garden. Family and friends will kindly assemble at the church Wednesday at 1:30 P.M. Mr. Bassett was a retired employee of RF&P Railroad and a Deacon of the above named church.
