CLYDE E. BASSETT
(December 5, 1919 - July 7, 2004)
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, in the chapel of the Rankin Funeral Home in Salem for Clyde E. Bassett, 85, of Herrin, with burial in the Oskaloosa Cemetery in Louisville. Visitation will be from noon until the time of the services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Bassett died Wednesday, July 7, in Herrin. He was born on December 5, 1919, in Louisville, the son of Albert and Ola Wiseman Bassett. He was a retired employee of the Stihl Chainsaw Manufacturing Company.
Survivors include: a brother, Robert Bassett and wife Marceline of Salem; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
