  Notes	The Arizona Republic, September 13, 2015 Lois Maxine Bassett Lois Maxine Bassett, 95, of Phoenix passed away on August 27, 2015, into the great beyond. Her departure from this world was accompanied by claps of thunder, rain and lightning. Born 1919 in Kansas, she brought mid-west values to Arizona in 1957. She worked 20 yrs as a secretary, in speech and hearing, at Good Sam and St Joe Hospitals. As a wonderful mom, great-grandmother and loyal friend, she thought of others' needs first. She enjoyed reciting poems, had a quick wit and ready laugh. Preceded in death by husband Howard, they loved camping with their dog and close friends. Survived by sons, Steven and Philip. Donations to Macular Degeneration Foundation in her memory.
