      2007, at her home, with her family by her side.

      Born in Pleasant Point, Maine, daughter of the late Edward and Florence
      (Neptune) Bassett, she was employed as an assembler for General Moto
      Framingham and Baltimore, Md., for more than 30 years.

      A proud member of the Passamaquoddy Tribe, she was a member of Save
      Passamaquoddy Bay, various softball and bowling leagues in Massachusetts and
      the United Auto Workers Association.

      Mrs. Maher enjoyed Native American beadwork, various crafts and spending time
      with her family.

      She leaves four children, Caroline Maher of Pleasant Point, Linda Hallett and
      her husband, Richard, of Franklin, Ronald Maher and his wife, Kristen, and
      Paul Maher, both of Blackstone, and John Maker of Franklin; four sister
      Pauline Gabriel, Mary Bassett, Joan Barnes and Elaine Waitrak; two brothers,
      Francis and Earl Bassett; eight grandchildren, Derek Dobachesky, Ryan Maher,
      Sean Maher, Ashton O'Reilly, Emily and Richard Hallett, and Ryan P. and
      Phillip Maher; and many nieces and nephews.

      She was the sister of the late Hazel Dana and Edward R., Daniel, Victor and
      Louis Bassett.

      A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, June 25, at 10 a.m., at
      St. Ann Church, Pleasant Point, by the Rev. Eugene Gaffey.

      Burial will follow in Tribal Cemetery.

      Friends may call beginning Saturday, June 23, and continuing until Monday,
      June 25, at 9 a.m., at the Elder's Meal Site on Elders Way, Pleasant Point.

      Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Edward L. Bassett
      Awards Program, which sponsors three deserving graduates from Beatrice
      Rafferty School.

      Funeral arrangements are by Mays Funeral Home - Flagg Chapel.
