George Dow Bassett
George Dow Bassett, 91, of Woodburn, died March 2, 2010.
He was born Oct. 27, 1918 in Lombard, Ill.
He was a longtime resident of Santa Ana and Tustin, Calif., and own
public accounting firm in Newport Beach, Calif.
He served as president of the accountants' association in Orange County,
Calif., and was a member of the Irvine Coast Country Club and the Santa Ana
Masonic Temple.
He retired in 1972 and moved to Blue River.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Jo; daughters, Diana and Suzanne;
son, George Jr.; sister, Frances Schrock; nine grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren.
