Visitation will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Mrs. Koper was born December 25, 1943 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Ruby Bassett and Pearl Baxley Bassett. She worked for the Civil Service and loved to read, especially a good mystery book. Mrs. Koper loved nature and her animals. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert C. Koper, Jr., sister, Norma Bassett Elliot and their brothers, Virgil and Glenn Bassett. Survivors include her son, Robert Koper and his wife, Jerri, of Phenix City, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to ASPCA www.aspca.org or to PAWS Humane 4900 Milgen Rd. Columbus, GA 31909.
