She was born in Oxford, Miss., and came to Tampa from Montgomery, Ala., in 1960. She moved to Danielsville in 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church of Brandon. She was a 1922 graduate of the University of Mississippi. Survivors include a son, Samuel Q., Sanford, N.C.; two daughters, Margery B. Valaes, Tampa, and Grace B. Frier, Danielsville; a brother, E.D. Richmond, Aransas Pass, Texas; two sisters, Virginia Carnes, Bethesda, Md., and Jessie R. Hooper, Fort Myers; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. F.T.
