Schulte Engaged Mrs. Anthony Schulte of 495 West End Avenue announces the engagement of her daughter, Miss Lucille Rose Schulte, to John Humphrey Phillips Bassett, U.S.N.R.F., son of Mrs. William Douglas Fitch of New Haven, Conn. Schulte, a daughter of Mrs. Anthony Schulte of this city, was celebrated last evening at the home of the bride’s mother, 495 West End Avenue. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Frank Oliver Hall of the Universalist Church of the Divine Paternity, before a temporary altar decorated with pink and white peonies, in the presence of the families only. The bride, who uncle, David A. Schulte, gave her in marriage, wore a white satin gown trimmed with Carrickmacross lace and her tulle veil was held with orange blossoms. Her only attendant was her sister, Miss Antoinette Schulte. Mr. Bassett’s best man was John Sutphen, Jr.
