- Ruth L. Freeman
Ruth L. Freeman died at her home early Saturday morning at Riverview Trailer Court. She suffered a heart attack.
Mrs. Freeman was born October 8, 1908 in Sharpsburg, Iowa, and had been a resident of Bend for the past 30 years. Most recently she was a waitress at the Pine Tavern. She was a member of the Lady Elks.
Mrs. Freeman is survived by her husband, Leters; two sons, Leonard Couch, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Edwin Couch, Denver, Colo,; a sister, Fern Watson, Bend; two brothers, Kenneth E. Bassett, Portland and Clifford Bassett, Garden City, Kansas, and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother.
Services will be Tuesday, 1 p.m. at the Niswonger-Reynolds Chapel. The Rev. D.L. Penhollow will officiate. Burial wll follow in Pilot Butte Cemetery.
