SHREVEPORT, LA-Services celebrating the life of Patricia Ann Bassett will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 18, 2013 at University Church of Christ. Officiating will be Jerry Hodge and Stuart Freeman. Interment will follow at Forest Park West. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA.
Patricia was born September 3, 1955 in Shreveport, LA. She went to be with her heavenly father on October 13, 2013. Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Arthur W. Evett.
Left to cherish her memories is her mother, Hazel Marie Emerson; husband, Mike Bassett of Shreveport, LA; sons, Tommy Rainer and wife, Lisa of Keithville, LA, and Joseph Bassett and wife, Chrystal of Shreveport, LA; daughters, Teresa Smith and husband, Steven and April Spears and husband, Jeremy of Marshall, TX; sisters, Diane Gisel and husband, Paul of Shreveport, LA, and Brenda Ellis and husband, John of Benton, AR; brothers, Gene Evett of Corona, CA and David Evett of Shreveport, LA; and four grandchildren, Jared, Braden, Aaron and Andrew. Patricia was retired from the Caddo Parish School Board after working over 20 years. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by all who loved her.
Honoring Patricia as pallbearers will be family and friends.
