Charlotte Bass
Charlotte Bass age 97 of Crestview passed away on October 27, 2022. She was born on October 26, 1925, to John and Mary Etta Atkins. Charlotte was a lifelong resident of the area. She worked for many years with the Okaloosa County School Board as a classroom assistant for special needs students. Charlotte was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Crestview for over 70 years. She loved singing in the church choir and teaching Sunday School. One of her loves was going to Blue Grass festivals with her husband and camping with her family. Most of all she loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marlin Bass and her 9 siblings.
Charlotte is survived by her children: Dudley Bass and wife Deborah, Jeff Bass and wife Susan and Dottie Crowder and husband Don; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
The celebration of Charlotte's life will be held on Friday November 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home. A time of visitation with the family will begin at 9:00 a.m. A private burial will take place at Live Oak Park Memorial Cemetery.
