They next moved to Decatur, Illinois in 1870 and then to Nebraska in 1873 where they lived near Schuyler, Nebraska. They moved to Custer County, Nebraska in 1883. They are both buried at the Cliff Cemetery in Custer County, Nebraska. They are buried beside Joseph Jr. and Malora and at this time neither grave is marked.
