Born in Lake View on September 14, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Dora Harrelson King. Mrs. Bass was a homemaker and a member of Mullins Church of God. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Hallon (Querta) Bass Jr. of Mullins; daughters and sons-in-law, Martha (Grady) Cook of Dillon, Janet (Wattie) Price of Dillon, Dean (William) Poston of Mullins, Linda (Wesley) Strickland of Galivants Ferry, Patricia (Richard) Schackleford of Marion, Debbie Lee of Mullins, Dora Lee Wright and her companion Richard Fisher of Fairmont, N.C., Cynthia Bass of Mullins, brother, Clarence King of Lake View, 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by son, James Carey Bass.
