James Nathan Bass
March 3, 1961 ? June 29, 2021
James Nathan Bass, 60, son of Wilma Bass Howard and the late James C. Bass, passed away at Pruitt Health of Columbia on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.
James was born in Marion County, South Carolina on March 3, 1961, to Wilma Charlotte Bass Howard and the late James Carey Bass. James had worked for the Asplundh Tree Company until an automobile accident left him disabled for nearly thirty-eight years. James was a member of the Mill City Church of Cayce.
Surviving James in addition to his Mother Wilma B. Howard of West Columbia are two Sisters: Teresa Bass (Keith) Shaw of Latta and Becky Bass (Jim) Harnett of Summerville; his two Brothers: Wilton Carey (Susan) Bass of Dillon and Wendell Dale (Lisa) Bass of Lake View; and several nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his grandparents: Halon and Marie Bass and Fancey and Jim Lewis.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, July 1 from 6 until 8 P.M. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
A chapel service will be held Friday, July 2 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. John Bryant officiating. James will be laid to rest in Lake View Cemetery.
