Fern L. Bassett
Ms. Fern L. Bassett, age 88, of Smyrna, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 31, 2015 at St. Jude Episcopal Church in Marietta with Reverend William Austin officiating. Interment will follow the service at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta. Fern was an avid Atlanta Braves Fan and loved to travel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman Earle Bassett; a daughter, Mimi Condrey; a son, Lee Bassett. Surviving her are her daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Dave Westrom of Smyrna; son-in-law, Tim Condrey of Atlanta; grandchildren, Dion Condrey, Cory Bassett, Rebecca Bassett and Ben Bassett. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
