In Loving Memory of
John Arthur Miller
July 22, 1926 ? March 16, 2014
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and veteran, John A. Miller passed away peacefully at his home Sunday morning, March 16, 2014, at 2:59 a.m., surrounded by his family. John was 87 years old. John belonged to "The Greatest Generation" and will be missed by his family and friends. John was born July 22, 1926, in Kokomo, Indiana. Parents, Harry and Dulcina Bassett-Miller raised John along with his brothers, Harry and Richard, and sister, Madonna. John joined the U.S. Army Air Corps under age at 17 years old and was assigned to the 8th Air Force in England. John flew with the 100th Bomb Group and completed 35 missions before his 18th birthday. John's love for the 8th Air Force would make him one of the early pioneers of the 8th Air Force Historical Society. John was Membership Chairman for the 100th Bomb Group Association. He was a member of the American Legion Post 8, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans Association. John married Rosemary Reingruber August 20, 1948 and they were married 65 wonderful years. John moved his family to Las Vegas in 1952. He first worked for the R.J. and later in the air conditioning trade. John loved music. He wrote and played many songs and lyrics. He was an author. John wrote articles for the 100th magazine. John Arthur Miller is survived by his loving wife, Rose; daughters, Sandy and Jonnie Ann; son, Mark, and his wife, Lai Wan Miller; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
