Morris Bassett
Morris Jackson Bassett, 71, of Cullman, Ala. and formerly of Still's X Roads Community, passed away October 24, 2018. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 2 p.m. from Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Earles and Rev. Donnie Earles officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery with Gray Funeral Home directing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Louise Bassett; brother, Floyd Bassett; sister, Shirlene Rotton.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Bassett; children, Connie (Kenny) Golden of Chino Valley, AZ, Vickie (Nelson) Cook of Almeria Community, Mark (Sabrina) Bassett of Chino Valley, AZ, Joshua Bennett of Huntsville, AL, and Amanda (James) Barksdale of Rogersville, AL; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Thurmond Bassett of Still's Cross Roads; sisters, Julia (Tim) Hubbard and Linda (Spooky) May, both of Almeria.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1 p.m. until service time on Tuesday.
