Mrs. Sykes Dead
FORT VALLEY, Ga., April 7 – Mrs. Nannie Hardison Sykes died this morning at her home here. Mrs. Sykes was 77 years of age, and though she has been in declining health for several months, her death was unexpected. She has been a resident of Fort Valley over twenty-five years. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. One daughter, Mrs. Sid H. Bassett, and two granddaughters, Misses Bertha and Nannie Bassett, survive her. The interment will take place some time Saturday in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
