Dorothy Pearsall Morris (Picture included)
MORRISVILLE >> Mrs. Dorothy Pearsall Morris, 93, of Clark Road, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Katherine Luther Healthcare Center, Clinton.
Born June 18, 1922 in New Haven, Conn., she was a daughter of Harold and Mabel Preudhomme Bassett. She was a 1939 graduate of Hamden (Connecticut) High School. On Sept. 7, 1946, Dorothy was united in marriage to John B. Pearsall in New Haven, Conn. He predeceased her on July 7, 1993. She was married to Richard Morris in Peterboro, N.Y. on Aug. 15, 1998. He also predeceased her.
A former Bethlehem, Conn. area resident, she had lived in the Morrisville area since 1973, and was an Avon Lady from 1974 until her retirement in 2002. She had also sold Stanley Home Products for 14 years. Mrs. Pearsall was a member of the Peterboro United Methodist Church. She was also a member and past president of the Morrisville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Dorothy and her husband John were honored for their dedication to fire service on July 25, 1992 as parade marshals at the Morrisville Fireman's Field Days.
Surviving are four sons, Kenneth Pearsall of Mission Viejo, Calif., John and Joan Pearsall Jr. of West Winfield, N.Y., Frederic and Peg Pearsall of Eaton, N.Y. and David and Lorie Pearsall of Morrisville; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a niece.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2015 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville, N.Y., followed by interment in the Morrisville Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
