      Lee Page Bassett

Lee Page Bassett of Oro Valley, Arizona passed away on January 14, 2022 at the age of 82. He was born September 9, 1939 in Burlington, New Jersey to Roland and Doris Bassett.
Lee is survived in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Carol Ann Seyfarth-Bassett, his sister Cindy Scott, four children John (Cindy), Valerie Bibus (Bill), Victoria Cesaretti, and Jill Sullivan Baker (Eric). He is also survived by six Grandchildren and one Great Granddaughter.
Graduating from the Class of 1960 from Florence New Jersey Highschool, Lee played center on the football team and then decided to extend his education and graduate with a two-year trade degree as well.
For a while Lee worked at Stryker Machine Products as a machinist in Trenton, New Jersey, which led to him meeting his wonderful wife Carol as she worked there as a receptionist at the same time. After Stryker Machine, Lee decided to try his own hand at opening his own business and opened his own machine shop entitled Bassett Precision.
In May of 2000, Lee and Carol decided to move to Oro Valley, Arizona because he loved the heat and the beautiful desert landscape. Soon after Lee got a job at Bronlyn Technologies in Tucson, Arizona where he was liked very well by all of his fellow employees and they all agreed that Lee was very easy to work with.
Lee loved many things such as his favorite football team the Philadelphia Eagles, which he has followed and loved since he was 17. He also loved photography, he has many great shots of Arizona?s wildlife, especially of the cactus and bobcats that roam the desert landscape. He was also a collector of many coins and stamps as well.
In Sun City where we live, I want to give a special, ?Thank You? to all of the kind people who would stop by with their dogs so Lee could visit with them. It made him so very happy. He was in a wheelchair since suffering from a stroke in 2010. It was not an easy life, but we were a team and did the best we could. Every day we always said, ?I love you? to each other. Lee was so loved and will be missed by me, Family and Friends.
If anyone would like an original copy of the 2014 picture of Lee and Carol, please mail Carol Ann a request and she will mail you one. I know Lee would love for you to have one. It was taken by their very good friend, Sara Moore.
