Helen W. Bass
AYNOR ? Helen Watson Bass, 70, died Wednesday at her residence. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today in Salem Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Goldfinch?s Conway Chapel, will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bass was born in Darlington, a daughter of J.L. ?Buck? Register and Bertha Lloyd Register. She was a member of the Aynor Senior Citizens Group. She was an active member of Salem Church. She was first married to the late Fred W. Watson and was the widow of Charles E. Bass.
Surviving are two daughters, Peggy McCaskill of Florence and Sylvia Brown of Hartsville; a stepson, John E. Bass of Hartsville; a stepdaughter, Mariam B. Lahmon of Aynor; a brother, Joshua L. Register, of Bishopville; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
