Funeral services were held Monday, January 9 at 10:30 a.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Full military rites were conducted. He was born November 8, 1926 in Edwards County, the son of George D. Bassett and Rose Ella Dawson. He married Louise Headley on June 14, 1952.
