Phillips announces the marriage of his daughter, Willie, to Mr. R. Leon Bass, on Monday, the thirtieth of April, nineteen hundred and twenty-three, Wallace, Virginia. At home Midnight, Miss. The groom, Leon Bass, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Bass of Midnight, and is a young man of fine business qualities. He is manager of the large business of his father and conducts the affairs with ability and success. He was among the young men who were determined it could not be said they were found wanting when their country, and his mental ability and determined nature won for him a responsible place with the United States Army, which he filled with distinction until the armistice was signed. Mr. Bass is receiving the congratulations of his many friends in Yazoo City, as well as other places.
