A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, December 24, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Peachtree Baptist Church, Spring Hope by Rev. Eugene Whitehouse. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. She was the widow of Paul M. Bass and was preceded in death by her daughter, Marcia Bass Ferris. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Bass Davenport of Red Oak; Frances Carwile of Waxhaw; a son, Paul Bass of Newport News, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at Peachtree Baptist Church. Flowers are welcomed or memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Nash General Hospital, 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
