Mr. and Mrs. Irving Wolford Jr. attended the wedding of their grandson, Daniel Bassett, to Patricia Newell at East Syracuse on Saturday morning. The reception was in the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Bassett will make their home in East Syracuse.
Mr. and Mrs. Millard Bassett and Janet, Jr. and Mrs. Weller and children and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Wolford Jr. were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Newell at East Syracuse.

December 13, 2008. Betty I. Bassett, 86, of Baldwinsville, former resident of Millard Bassett Rd., Granby, died Saturday.Born in the township of Granby to her late parents, Irving J. and Dorthea G. (Merritt) Wolford in 1922, she received her B.A. in teaching from what is now SUNY Oswego. Betty was an elementary school teacher for Phoenix Central Schools for 42-1/2 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of Little Utica United Methodist Church and Oswego County Retired Teachers Assoc. Pre-deceased by her husband, Millard L. Bassett in 1979; a brother, Roland Wolford in the early 1990s; and a sister, Shirley M. Weller in 2006. Surviving are her son and his fiancee, Daniel W. Bassett Sr. and Francine Dober of Baldwinsville; a daughter and her husband, Janet L. and Lynn A. Moyer of Granby; six grandchildren, Daniel (Jill) Bassett Jr., Joshua (Ellen) Moyer, Nathan (Amy) Moyer, Lindsay (Joshua) Grosvent, Michael Dober and Molly Dober; three great-grandchildren, Anthony Moyer, Meghan Moyer and Riley Moyer; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix, NY. with the Rev. Everett J. Bassett officiating. Burial in Jacksonville Cemetery, Lysander.
