He was the son of the late J.B. Bass and Mamie Lorene Rowell Bass Brooks. He was retired from L&H Shirt Factory and had worked at Cochran Hardware. Survivors are his son, Jeffery L. Bass of Bonaire; granddaughter, Sydney Bass of Cochran; his sisters, Gwen Ozmore of Eastman, Peggy Manning of Macon and Pat Hopper of Brunswick; several nieces and nephews.
