Bassett - Died at her home on the Fulton-Wrights Corners road, April 7, Mrs. Ada Blasier Bassett. She is survived by her husband, Sidney Bassett; six daughters, Mrs. Alden Palmer, Syracuse, Mrs. Richard Tobin, Baldwinsville, Mrs. Stanley Austic, Mrs. Clarence Gross and Mrs. Ovid Wilcox, all of R.D. 3; six sons, Charles of Baldwinsville, William, Clayton, Raymond, Millard and Andrews, all of Fulton; a brother, John Blasier of East Syracuse, 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the home Monday afternoon, Rev. Rudolph Grossman of Little Utica officiating; interment at Jacksonville.

Bassetts celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Bassett, Sr., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 5. They were married June 5, 1939, at the Methodist Parsonage in Lysander.
The Reverend ViVere officiated. Attendants were Betty Farnham and William Bassett.
They live at RD 3, South Granby Road, Fulton. The couple has two sons, Raymond Jr. of Fulton and Everett of Union Springs. They also have four daughters, Carolyn Johnson, Sylvia Day, Dale Snow, and Karen Friot, all of Fulton.
They have thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Raymond Edward Bassett Sr,
Worked for Granby Highway Department
Raymond Edward Bassett Sr., 85, of South Granby Road, Granby, died Sunday, Jan. 11 at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton.
He was a life resident of the town of Granby. For many years he was a machine operator with National Cellulose Co., Baldwinsville. He retired from the maintenance department at the Granby Highway Department.
He spent many years farming.
He was a member of the Little Utica United Methodst Church for more than 65 years, serving on many committees.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, the former Esther Bowersox; two sons, Raymond E. Jr. of Fulton and the Rev. Everett J. of Auburn United Methodist Church; four daughters, Carolyn Johnson, Sylvia Day, Dale Snow and Karen Froit, all of Fulton; a brother, Andrew of Fulton; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were Wednesday at Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home. Spring burial is in Jacksonville Cemetery.
