With his outgoing nature, people knew Richard where ever he went. He was a University of Utah fan through and through. One rarely saw him without a U of U polo shirt. He was generous, kind, and humble. Richard was a strong advocate for his beliefs and those less fortunate whether colleagues or friends. Richard took a special interest in taking care of stray animals and people in need.
Richard was preceded in death by his baby daughter, Kaylynn. What a joyous reunion they're having.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Stephen Wood for his care of Richard for over 40 years. He was not only his physician but also a good friend. We would also like to thank Barbara Richardson with Good Shepherd Hospice for her care during Richard's brief illness.
