Mr. Robert F. Bassett
Batavia - Mr. Robert F. Bassett, age 76, of Batavia, a maintenance worker at
Oakfield-Alabama High School, died Monday, April 11, 2005, at United Memorial
Medical Center.
Mr. Bassett was born July 22, 1928 in Perry, a son of the late Percy and Mary
Jane Mandeville Bassett.
He was a graduate of Perry High School and was a veteran of the Korean
Conflict serving with the United States Army.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce L. Bush Bassett, whom he married December 23,
1950; his son, Wayne W. (Diane) Bassett of Batavia; his daughter, Stacey A.
(William) Bradley of Batavia; two brothers, his twin, William G. (Betty)
Bassett of Dansville and Raymond (Marian) Bassett of Orlando, Fla.; four
grandchildren, Melissa and Marla Bassett and Justin and Brandon Bradley and
several nieces and nephews.
There are no prior calling hours. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m.
Wednesday at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home. Burial will be in Grand View
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Memorial Medical
Center, 127 North Street, Batavia, New York 14020.
