Monson, Aug. 1 ? Mr. and Mrs. Giles W. Bassett of the Stafford Rd. announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Ann Elizabeth Bassett to Henry C. Dube, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred M. Dube of 120 Switzer Ave., Springfield. No date has been set for the wedding.

Ann Elizabeth Dube
Ann Elizabeth Dube, 76, of Sebring, Fla., passed away Saturday, November 1, 2008, in Sebring. She was born June 3, 1932, to Giles William and Effie (Delisle) Bassett, in Springfield, Mass., and had been a resident of Sebring since 2003, coming from Pembroke Pines, Fla. She was a secretary, was a member of the Tanglewood Community Church, started the Sonshine Committee in Tanglewood and was a member of the Knitting and Crocheting Club. "Her primary occupation in life was being a devoted wife and mother." Mrs. Dube is survived by her husband, Henry Charles Dube, Sebring; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Les Collins, Tobaccoville, N.C.; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Martha Dube, Jacksonville, Fla.; Five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2008, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring. Funeral services will follow the visitation, beginning at 6 p.m., Rev. Ken Thoreson officiating. Entombment services will be held Friday, November 7, 2008, at Southern Memorial Park in Miami, Fla. Memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice of Highlands County, 4418 Sun ' n Lake Boulevard, Sebring, Fla. 33872, in Mrs. Dube' s memory.
