Anita M. Bassett – Deceased – Jan. 11, 2011
ATHOL -- Anita M. (Miarecki) Bassett, 90, of 297 Moore Hill Rd., Athol, died
Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, in Athol Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 26, 1920, in Gilbertville, to Stanley and Karoline Miarecki.
She leaves her son, Stanley F. Miarecki of Athol, with whom she resided; her
daughter, MaryAnn Sioui of Hubbardston; two stepsons,Theodore Bassett of
Petersham and Bernard Bassett; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; a
brother, John Miarecki of Gilbertville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward L. Bassett, who died in 1991.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 14, at noon, in the Fiske
Funeral Home, 1356 Main St., Athol. Burial will follow in Ledgeville Cemetery,
Petersham.
A calling hour will be held, Friday, Jan. 14, from 11 a.m. to noon, in the
funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in her memory
to the Quabbin Valley Healthcare or the American Diabetes Association.
