  Notes	Roanoke Times & World-News, Virginia, Saturday, 14 December 1985 Walden E. Bassett Walden E. (Bus) Bassett, age 79, of 2531 Stanley Ave., S.E., died in a Roanoke hospital Friday. He was retired from the Celanese Corp. in Charlotte, N.C. with over 40 years service, and was a member and Elder in the First Presbyterian Church in Roanoke. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Temple Bassett, Roanoke; two daughters, Mrs. William K. (Sandra) Beasley, Roanoke; Mrs. T.A. (Beverly) Franklin, Glenmore, Pa.; a brother, Donald C. Bassett, Scituate, Mass.; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the grave in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens 11:00 a.m. Monday. Dr. John LaMotte and the Rev. Donald Lincoln will officiate. The family suggest memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church. Friends may call at Oakey?s Roanoke Chapel.
