Joyce M. Bass
Joyce M. (Toner) Bass, 66, of Midland died Monday, March 3, 1997, at St. Luke?s Hospital in Saginaw from a longtime illness.
She was born May 10, 1930, in Midland to the late Joseph and Della (Hogard) Toner. She resided in Midland all her life. resided in Midland all her life. She loved bowling and enjoyed her grandchildren very much.
She married Charles Bass on Jan. 10, 1848, he survives her. Also surviving are sons, Charles (patsy) Bass, James (Cheryl) Bass, and George (Anita) Bass; daughters, Beth (Dave) Weiskirch, Tricia Bass, Michele (Keith) Luckett and Kelly (Ralph) Starks, all of Midland; son-in-law Thomas Smith; 19 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Pat Patton, Sharon Hickerson and Deanna Mann; and four brothers, Ted, Dwight, Howard and Terry Toner.
Joyce was predeceased by her daughter, Diane Smith; six brother, Joe, Jerry, Doug, Dale, Dennis and infant brother James; and an infant sister, Wilma.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 6, 1997, at 11 a.m. at the Smith-Miner Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Youmans officiating. Internment will follow in Midland Memorial Gardens.
Members of Mrs. Bass? family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral.
