Karen Marie Bass Busser
Karen Marie Bass Busser AIKEN, SC - Karen Marie Bass Busser, beloved wife of William Busser for 48 years, died Monday, November 16, 2015 at her home in Aiken, SC. A native of Wyoming, OH, Karen was a daughter of the late Harland Bass and Jane Rhoads Bass. She graduated as an RN from Good Samaritan Hosp. in Cincinnati, OH. She was a caring RN who enjoyed her work at various hospitals: Aiken Regional Medical Center as a dialysis RN and in the ER; St Anthony's Hosp. in Denver, CO, Kettering Memorial Hospital in Dayton, OH and Good Samaritan Hosp. in Cincinnati, OH. Survivors, in addition to her husband, includes two sons: Robert Busser and his daughter Sophia of Gainesville GA; and Richard Busser and wife Laura with their son, Samuel, and, daughter Sydney of Longmont CO. Karen has a sister, Janet McGuinty in Sidney, British Columbia, a sister, Kathrine Wickemeyer in Cincinnati, OH and a brother, Michael Bass in Fremont CA. Karen was preceded in death by her twin sister, Carol Millick, Wheeling, WV. Karen enjoyed visits and talking to her grandkids, cooking gourmet meals and walking with her husband and two dogs. Karen requested that, instead of flowers, all memorial contributions be made to the Cumbee Center to Assist Abused Persons, PO Box 1293, Aiken, SC 29802. The funeral service will be private.
