Lorraine M. Bass
Lorraine M. Bass, 81, Hebron, Ill., died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at her home.
The former Lorraine Hildebrandt was born June 2, 1923, in Arlington Heights, Ill., the daughter of the late Fred and Elsie Miller Hildebrandt. She married Victor L. Bass July 11, 1942, in Arlington Heights. He preceded her in death Feb. 22, 2003. She lived in Palatine, Ill. and Lena, Ill. before she moved to Hebron five years ago.
She enjoyed crocheting, wood and needle crafts and gardening.
Bass is survived by one son, Donald (Sandra) Bass, Hebron; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Marilyn Maierhofer, Rolling Meadows, Ill.; and one brother, Harold Hildebrandt, Dunedin, Fla. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harvey, Fred and Ralph; and one sister, Verdell Botterman.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 8, at the Haase-Derrick-Lockwood Funeral Home, Genoa City, with the Rev. James E. Kennedy officiating. Interment was at Memory Gardens, Arlington Heights. The family suggested memorials to the American Cancer Society.
