  Notes	The Peoria Journal Star, 30 Nov 1999 Chester Bassett PEORIA - Chester Lamont Bassett, 51, of 1210 NE Madison died at 3:10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. He was born Feb. 15, 1948, in Peoria to Robert Chester and Dorene Kennerly Bassett. Surviving are three stepdaughters, Schanda Brown and Shirley "Red" Washington, both of Peoria, and Dorothy "Duck" Woods of Decatur, Ga., who he raised; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Gary and Keith, both of Peoria; and one sister, Sheila Bassett of Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents. He formerly worked for J & D's Car Care and the Rock Island Railroad. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Simons Mortuary, where visitation will be one hour before services. The Rev. John Gibson will officiate. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.
