Bassett, 53, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Peoria, died at 5:56 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 1994 at Mesa Lutheran Hospital. Born Nov. 15, 1940, in Peoria to Maurice N. and Marie H. Menssen Bassett, he married Judith Cannon. She survives. Also surviving are his mother, one son, Terry T. Jr.; three daughters, Tammy L. Bassett, Pamela S. Bassett and Dawn M. Bassett, 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Charles L. and John E.; and one sisters, Margaret M. Smith. He was a plumber in the construction field before retiring. He was a Vietnam Air Force veteran. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Melcher's Chapel of the Roses in Mesa, where visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight.
