Donald Bassett
Donald "Babs" Bassett, 84, of 718 N. Alvord St., died Sunday at James
Square Nursing Home. Mr. Bassett was a life resident of Syracuse. He retired
in 1978 as a foreman after 28 years with Allied Chemical Corp. He was an Army
veteran of World War II.
Surviving are a son, Donald B. of Mattydale; a brother, Gera
Syracuse; a sister, Alberta McGreevey of Syracuse; seven grandchildren; and
several nieces and newphews.
Services and calling hours were Monday. Burial will be Onondaga County
Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Pirro & Sons Funeral Home had charge of
arrangements.
