Born in Georgetown County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Ellen Cribb Bass. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and a teacher of the Beginners Sunday School Class for 40 years. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Eunice P. Snowden of Hemingway; a son, Leroy Powers of Cheraw; sisters, Mrs. Manning (Jennie) Cameron and Mrs. Moyd (Lucile) Tyler of Hemingway; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Mount Zion Baptist Church, with burial in Good Hope Methodist Church Cemetery. Morris Funeral Home is in charge.
