Paul S. Bassett Jr.
SUTTON - Paul S. Bassett Jr., of 351 Sutton Center died Monday in St. Vincent
Hospital, Worcester. He leaves his wife, Alfhild (Swanson) Bassett, and a son,
Paul Stuart Bassett III of Centerville, Va. He was born in Syracuse, N.Y., son
of Paul S. and Lilias (Sjostrom) Bassett, and had lived in Granby, Conn. for
12 years before moving to Sutton Center in 1968. He attended schools in
Syracuse, and also attended Syracuse University and the former Northeastern
University in Springfield. Mr. Bassett was a quality control engineer f
United Technologies for many years, and later worked at Reed and Prince Co. in
Worcester, retiring 10 years ago. Private graveside services will be held at
the convenience of the family in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Ware. There a
calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational
Church of Sutton, Sutton, 10527, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Walker-Pahneuf Funeral Home, 21 Pleasant St., Ware, is directing arrangements.
