Earl G. Bassett

Earl G. Bassett, 74, a Phoenix native went home to be with his Lord on July 3, 2005. Earl was born December 8, 1930 at Good Samaritan Hospital to Gilbert and Kathryn Bassett. He was the youngest of 5 children and his family owned a bakery in south Phoenix. As a young man he loved cars and was said to drive some of the sharpest in town! He was a Korean War veteran. He retired from Reynolds Metals Company where he had worked for over 30 years in the Inspect/Pack department. He is survived by his sister, Elaine Pedigo; his son, Earl Lee Bassett and his wife Linda; his daughter, Rhonda Mathis and her husband Larry; and three grandsons, Trent, Jared, and Cameron. Graveside services will be held on July 8, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at the Veteran's National Memorial Cemetery.
