Tufelia Bassett
Tufelia (Mazukina) Bassett, best known as "Tee' of South Easton
died on July 4, 2022 at her home. She was 102 years old.
She was born in Bridgewater on June 10, 1920 to her parents Alphonse Mazukina and Josephine ( Peslis) who immigrated to America from Lithuania. Tee married William Goward Bassett of Stoughton in 1941.They enjoyed many adventures?traveling through Europe and all 50 U.S states, summers at their Martha's Vineyard home, events, gardening and camping. She was a prominent member of both the Easton Garden Club and the Boy Scouts of America.
Her talents were remarkable and wide spread, receiving awards for her gifts to the community. We will cherish the love she gave us all and what she taught us.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, grandson Geoffrey W. Bassett Jr. and brother Alfred Mazukina of Cape Cod.
Family survivors are her sister Genevieve Adamonis, son Geoffrey W. Bassett and his wife Patty (Butler) of South Easton, daughter Bonnie E. Healy and husband Leonard Healy of Whiting, Maine, granddaughter Katie Young and husband Gary of South Easton, great grandchildren, Tyler Bassett, Shannon, Bryan, Jeffrey and Christopher Young and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a funeral and service held at the Kane Funeral Home, 605 Washington Street, Easton on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 10am-12pm, with an interment to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, N. Main St., W. Bridgewater.
