Uchee Plantation for Sale
I offer at private sale the Plantation of the late Sterling Bass, Sen?r, deceased, situated on the Big Uchee creek, 13 miles from Columbus, and 4 iles from the Silver Run Depot, (Mobile & Girard R.) The Plantation consists of 560 acres. The land on the creek is level and rich and yields 1000 lbs. cotton pr. acre and 20 to 30 bushels of corn. A good framed Dwelling with 6 rooms and 6 brick Chimneys, good negro-houses, & &c. ? The place is as healthy as any in the country, has excellent water on it, and the plantation is well supplied with water ? good society ? a desirable place to live.
Persons wishing to buy come and see for yourselves. Terms will be made easy. Messrs. Perry, Tarver, and Judge Caven, (my neighbors) or myself, at Silver Run, will show you the place. Come out and look at the place. If not sold before the 1st day of January next, I shall offer it for sale at public outcry, to the highest bidder, on the premises.
