Denise Bassett
DENNISPORT - Denise Bassett, 37, a lifelong resident of the Cape, died
unexpectedly Monday at her home. She was the daughter of Royce Basse
Orleans and Carol (Perry) Orciuch of Dennisport. Born in Hyannis, she w
raised in Dennis and Brewster. She graduated from Cape Cod Technical Hi
School and attended Kinyon Campbell Business School in New Bedford. Ms.
Bassett worked as a cashier at Benny's in Dennisport and attended Fisher
College to learn computers. She loved the beach, traveling and reading.
Surviving are three sisters, Joan Bassett of South Chatham, Madeleine Bassett
of West Yarmouth and Stephanie Orciuch of Dennisport; a niece and two nephews;
and many aunts and uncles. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m.
Saturday in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Route 134, South Dennis. Visiting hours are 6
to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South
Yarmouth.
