- Bassett, Betty Entered into eternal rest the morning of July 18, 2004, Betty
Daniels Bassett, widow of Victor Emerson Bassett. Residence, Ladson, South
Carolina. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at J.
Henry Stuhr, Inc., North Are Chapel, Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at eleven
o'clock. Entombment will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. Friends may call
at Stuhr's North Area Chapel Wednesday morning from 10 o'clock until time of
service. Born March 21, 1933 in Charleston, SC, Mrs. Bassett was the daughter
of the late Thomas W. and Lulu Mae Mintz Daniels. She was the former manager
of Sadie's Restaurant. Surviving Mrs. Bassett are two sons, P. Lynn Bassett
(Wanda) of Ladson and William Bassett of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; a daughter,
Susan B. Grinnell (John) of Brandon, Florida; two sisters, Shirley Youmans of
Goose Creek and Lorena Fultz of Florida; a brother, Robert Daniels of South
Carolina; three granddaughters, Amanda Bassett, Megan Bassett, Kelly Parker
and a grandson, Matthew Grinnell.
