LEOMINSTER -- Elsie E. Sears, 76, of 18 Eden Glen, died Friday, De
Leominster Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born in Brewster, on Aug. 5, 1915, the daughter of the late Benjamin
and Emma (Bassett) Sears.
She attended schools in Brewster and moved to the Leominster area from the
Cape Cod area 36 years ago.
She was formerly employed by City Cleaners, of 655 Water St. of Fitchburg,
retiring in 1971.
She is survived by one sister, Alice Kaustinen of Leominster, with whom she
lived; three nephews; two nieces; and several great nephews and niece
The funeral will be on Monday at 1 p.m. in the Fitchburg Chapel of the Sawyer-
Miller Funeral Home, 129 Elm St., Fitchburg, with the Rev. Kenneth B. Duerr
officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster.
Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
