Richard Precourt
Richard E. Precourt, 88, of Park Street Plainville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Life Care Center of Attleboro. He was the loving husband of the late Patricia W. (Bassett) Precourt.
Born on March 10, 1934 in North Attleboro, he was a son of the late Raoul and Lena (Horne) Precourt.
He was a resident of North Attleboro for many years and graduated from North Attleboro High School in 1951.
Richard was a dedicated father and a loving husband and self-employed carpenter.
He was active in the church, enjoyed being outside, boating and spending time with his family.
Richard was survived by four children: Micheal Prescourt, Diane Precourt, Laurie Precourt-Smith and husband Rick Smith and Elise Coleman;
Five cherished grandchildren: Richard Lumnah, Alcide Lumnah, Chelsea Doane, Sherri Precourt and Katelynn Silva;
Eight adored great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his grandson, Ryan Reidel; sisters Lucille Collins, Annette McNamara and Virginia Heslinger.
Visiting hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15 at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.
A funeral will be held at St. Mary's Church, 130 South Street, Wrentham on Thursday, March 16 at 9 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in North Attleboro.
