Edward McBride
KEWANEE - Edward McBride, 61, of Kewanee died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, at his home.
He was born April 5, 1941, in Toulon to Day Dean and Jesse Haroldine Green McBride.
Surviving are three daughters, Robin (and Jim) Turner of Putnam, Andrea (and Mark) Denger of Long Grove, Iowa, and Marcy McBrideGraham (and Jon Graham) of Eldridge, Iowa; nine grandchildren; his stepmother, Mildred McBride of Indianapolis; Carol Allen and her daughters, Holly Zink and Tarah Allen, with whom he resided; two brothers, Steve (and Cindy) Swearingen of Sparta, Tenn., and Frankie (and Jane) Freeburg of Princeton; and three sisters, Sandra Furst of Downs, Betty Jo (and Ron) Davis of Walnut and Jeanette (and David) Sutton of Harmon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, Frank Freeburg, two brothers and one sister.
He worked at B.F. Goodrich in Henry and later as a truck driver for Carlson Trucking in Galesburg.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, where visitation will be two hours before. The Rev. Scott Tooley will officiate. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
